weird things…

My camera dock is still missing so I have no pictures to share yet. But I want to write something so I thought I would write about all of the weird things about me.

I am indeed weird and I have a very strange sense of humor (I blame it all on my brothers. Sorry but I’m going to throw you guys under the bus here). So here are some of the things about me that are weird…

I’m scared of fish and poodles.

I’m scared of fish because when I was little we used to have these fish that jumped out of the fish tank (no, I’m not joking!). When one would jump out my mom would just pick it up and throw it back in. Well, one night I was walking through the room without shoes on and I stepped right on one of the fish. I’m shuddering just thinking about it! Oh the horror! Slimy, wiggly, yuckiness! *hurl*.

And I’m only scared of the gigantic poodles, not the little bitty ones. And here’s why- one time I was driving down the road and there was a car next to me that had a GIANT poodle in it. And it was staring me down. It was staring at me like it was going to kill me!! That.freaked.me.out. Now I can’t see a poodle without getting freaked out. Yesterday I was running at the park and this lady was walking a really big poodle and I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack. Not cool, lady- don’t you know that poodles freak me out!

I think poop is funny. So do my brothers, we’re all weird like that. Come on, you can’t say the word poop without smiling!! It’s funny!! We like to talk about poop so much that my brother even got us kids books about poop for Christmas one year! He said he read them before he bought them and he thought he was going to get kicked out of barnes and nobles because he was sitting on the floor in the kids book section laughing his head off and reading books about poop! Oh yeah, and I have a million fart stories because I’ve been teaching for five years- kids just can’t seem to control that kind of stuff! My brother just loves those stories, especially the fart carpet stories!

I am sure that there are many more weird things about me, but none come to mind!

I’m off to search for my camera dock again so I can get back to blogging about FOOD!

gone…

my camera dock.  Has anyone seen it??

Seriously I can’t find it anywhere.  I was ready to start posting again today, too.  I hate my stupid camera, and I hate that you have to have a dock to upload the pictures- I can’t just connect it with a usb cable.  I asked for a new camera for my bday, but that’s still well over a month away!

Gah!!!

Off to search some more.

p.s.  I redid my theme- like it?  I did some of it myself, with the help of the awesome theme! yay! Oh, and can you tell that I like pink? Is it too girly?

yay yay yay!!!

I finally got my everything transfered to my new host!  Pardon me while I “renovate” my blog.  I may not post for a couple of days.  It took me all day to get transfered over and I’m waaaay frustrated!

New stuff coming as soon as I get all “settled in” to my new home!

weeeee!

So I’m running out of titles for my entries, lol.

This morning I got up early for a workout with my trainer. Before I left I had half of this breakfast cookie and a shot of wheatgrass.

In my breakfast cookie…

  • oats
  • milk
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 of a small mango
  • 1 T peanut butter
  • sprinkle of coconut

Then off to the gym I went!

After the gym I went to take my car to get fixed.   I had to go to the MINI dealership in Arlington to do this as I can’t take my car just anywhere to get fixed.  They are the only ones I trust to work on my car, so off I went.  I dropped it off and picked up the rental car (they put me in a toyota camry and I really like it!).

After that I went to whole foods to grab a salad for lunch since it’s right down the road.  I hit the salad bar (they’re salad bar is crazy expensive BTW!!) And I grabbed an Oxygen magazine to browse through whilst I munched.

I tried to put as many superfoods as I could into my salad!  See, I’m learning something from the book I’m reading about superfoods!

The superfoods in my salad included…

  • tomato
  • red cabbage
  • spinach
  • broccoli
  • edamame (soy)
  • shredded carrots

I also had some balsamic vinaigrette and a sprinkle of blue cheese on my salad.

And a tea to drink (which is also a superfood, who knew?!)

And some fresh fruit for “dessert”

Then I headed home!  When I got to the casa this chocolate coconut milk yogurt was calling my name…

With a sprinkle of granola on top for a little crunch.

Oh my gosh this was so incredibly good!  I have yet to try something from this company that I haven’t liked!

I guess that’s it for now, I’ll probably hit up a cardio kickboxing class tonight to burn some extra calories and I think we’re going to make pizza for dinner! yumm.

peace out!
