mid-day!

After my bike ride (it was a quick one) I was ready for some lunch. I knew I wanted to use up the other half of the avocado that I started on yesterday, so I took out some corn tortillas and melted a little cheese on them. Then I topped them with a little salsa, slices of avocado and a little cabbage for some crunch. They were really good!!

aaaand 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. I’m working out again tonight, so I figured I could use a little extra protein since I didn’t really have any at lunch.

This afternoon’s agenda is taking the dog to the vet, going to starbucks to download some yoga stuff from yoga downloads (cause my internet is total crap and won’t let me download ANYthing), and then a workout with my trainer.

Goooood morning!!

I’m having a great morning round these parts. Just chilling at the casa on a breautiful Wednesday morning! I had a lot of trouble sleeping last night (definitely no more energy drinks for me). So I slept in a bit to let my body get some rest.

When I got up I was really craving oatmeal. So I made hubby and I some good ole oats this morning.

Breakfast-

In the oats-
1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 banana
toppings-
1 T wheat berries
1 T unsweetened coconut
1 T walnuts
1 T chocolate chips
packet of Barney Butter

Holey moley these were good. Really really filling too. My tummy is very happy!

Well, I think I’m going to hop on the treadmill for some sprints and then I might get out my bike and go for a ride!

taco tuesday

Howdy folks!

What a looooong day! And still so far from Friday, sigh.

For breakfast this morning I decided to have a protein shake. Not sure why, I just wasn’t feeling anything else this morn. I had a BSN chocolate lean dessert powder w/ 1 cup milk, 1/2 banana, 3 T unsweetened coconut, and some more “greens”.

Again, the amazing grass did nothing for me. No pep, I was soooo sleepy today. This was my last sample of it, so I definitely won’t be buying any more. I can’t wait for my green vibrance to come in!!

Lunch…

I had some green chile hummus ( a couple of Tablespoons)
Kashi 7 grain crackers
chobani w/ kashi go lean crunch

This definitely was NOT enough food! I was STARVING at the end of school, so as soon as I got home I made a sandwich.

Then I hopped on the treadmill and ran two miles. I did some speed work today- I’m trying to speed up my mile.

For dinner we had FISH TACOS! yumm yumm yumm!

Whelp, I guess that’s about it for today. Just gonna hang out on the couch with hubby and watch a little TV. Nighty night!!!

kickboxing grandma

Not me, LOL. This lady in my kickboxing class. She’s got to be in her mid 80’s at least. She has fire red hair, wears a beret and full makeup to class. She.cracks.me.up. She’s not to bad at kickboxing either!! Love her!

Anyway, before I went into the gym I had a small handful of dried fruit.

When I got home from the gym I made a little spritzer with POM/sparkling water. yum!

Whole wheat english muffin
morningstar farms sausage patty (2)
2 eggs scrambled with bell peppers, onions, and spinach
pepperjack cheese
a little boursin cheese(I forgot that I put the pepperjack on there, lol)

It was tasty but I’m still a little hungry. I need another snack I think, but I’m not sure what…

sample time!

Before I talk about my day let’s start with my free samples! I got a couple of samples of Barney Butter in the mail today so I busted it out as soon as I got in the house.

I lost no time slathering it on a banana and chowing down. This stuff is fantastic!!! I now want to buy some, but I have three jars of PB in my cabinet right now, so I think I shall wait. It’s great- the last time I had almond butter I hated it, it had too many chunks in it, and I like my PB smooth and creamy. This seriously hit the spot!

Now, onto other matters…

Today before breakfast, I tried another “green” drink. This time I tried the amazing grass version. Yick, it was nas-tay. I started gagging toward the end of the drink and my stomach has felt funny all day. I won’t be getting any more of that (well, except for their wheat grass, that was amazing!). I think I shall stick with the green vibrance, which also happens to be what the lady at whole foods rec commended over the amazing grass. I should have listened to her!

This stuff did nothing for me at all.

After that all I really wanted was some cereal, so I made a bowl of PB Puffins(love).

Then I headed off to work, which sucked! 26 more days. 26 more days.

Mid-morning I knew I needed to eat something cause my tummy was feeling weird again. So I had a blueberry Clif Z bar. Tasty!

Lunch was a giganto salad with light ranch and blue cheese. Also 1/2 cup cottage cheese w/ some fresh mango (fab!!)

A few hours later I had a Larabar. Key lime pie- it was really good!!
