With this drink from starbucks…

Cafe Misto with Pumpkin Spice syrup!!  I used to get cafe misto’s all the time and I never thought about adding flavors to them!

What’s a Misto you ask?  Well it’s half coffee and half steamed milk.  Compared to a latte which is shots of espresso and steamed milk.  A misto only has 60 calories and no fat (if you get non-fat milk).

Since I heart the pumpkin spice latte I decided to try to have them add the syrup to a misto instead of the latte version and it was perfecto!!  It’s not as sweet, but I’m okay with that.  It still has that awesome flavor!

Here’s how the two compare…

Pumpkin Spice Latte (tall, non-fat, no whip)…  200 calories!

Pumpkin Spice Misto (tall, non-fat)…80-120 calories!!  (depending on how many pumps of syrup that you get- each pump is 20 cals)

That’s a big difference and now I don’t feel so guilty for indulging in the Pumpkin Spice!!

So this is what I’m doing as I speak (err…I mean type).  My chem lab finished 2 hrs early today and I’m wasting some time until I need to leave to go see Dr. Cliff (my little bro) to get my injured claw worked on.  (for the record Dr Cliff is in Chiropractic school and interning (?) at the clinic at the school and he’s working on the tendonitis in my right hand.)  He has instructions not to adjust my neck (which I refuse to let him do because I HATE having my neck popped.) on punishment of a punch in the face.  Wouldn’t it be awesome to get punched in the face by your sister in them middle of a Chiropractic clinic?  heehee.

Because I have three tests this week.  Whoops.  I’ll work twice as hard this afternoon, I promise!

It’s about time to go to my appt!  Adios!

No pictures today, I’m just not in the mood.  I took Harley to the Vet today because she had this crazy rash all over her and she had been scratching herself raw.  Well, it turns out it wasn’t a rash at all, she has a non-contagious form of mange.   Poor girl! 

And it’s going to cost us well over 1,000 smackers to get rid of it.  Before we can even start treatment she has to be spayed (mostly because it’s time- she’s 7 months and weighs 83 lbs, but if she happens to go into heat while getting treated for the mange it will make it worse and we would have to start the treatment all over again), THEN we have to wait for her to heal from that, THEN we have to start a series of 8 dips for the mange.  We have to take her once a week and she has to stay for the whole day.  Oh and also antibiotics for the skin infection that she has from scratching.

We don’t have the money, but it has to be done.  There will be lots of praying going on around here.

Anyway, school is tough right now.  I feel like I can’t keep up.  I guess I’m just having one of those days today and I hope that tomorrow will be better!!  Until then, I think I’m going to hit the hay early to get this day over with.
