I heart Wednesdays.

It’s Wednesday!! My favorite day of the week!!!

On to breakfast!

Today’s oatmeal…
1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 banana
spoonful of pumpkin stirred in at the end
1 tablespoon walnuts sprinkled on top
spoonful of cinn raisin PB
cuppa joe

Guess I wasn’t super hungry, I only ate about half of it. I think I should cut my oats down to 1/3 cup instead of 1/2. I feel like I’m wasting good food by tossing it.

I’m about to hop in the shower and get ready to go to work! See ya at lunch!!! Oh, and I’m playing around with my theme again, trying to make my own little logo to go at the top…we’ll see how it goes!

Work was sucky as usual.

My photo quality was sucky as usual. I’m about to experiment with a different cable to try and connect to my camera. We’ll see what happens. I’m tired of poopy looking pics though!

Breakfast today was:

French toast (2 slices of GH honey wheat dipped in one egg w/ a little cinnamon)
topped with strawberries and a dollop of cool whip
oh yeah, and some coffee

I’ve been doing some carrer-wise soul searching lately. I definitely know that it’s time for a change (hence quitting my job. That’s right, I said hence!)

I’m not quite ready to share, mostly because I’m still doing some thinging, but I’m thinking about leaving music alltogether. This path that I chose feels like it has taken all of the passion away from music that I had for it. I think I need to step away from it as a career and just play my instrument for the beauty of the music that I will be playing! I feel like that is the only way that I will truly be able to find myself again.

I will post more on this subject as I come to more conclusions.

another day

Today is a high frustration day. No joke. I can’t seem to do anything today, and everything is making me frustrated. I can’t even get anything done with wordpress, I guess I’ll be lucky to be able to get this blog posted today. boo. Ever just have one of those days?

I’m especially frustrated with my stupid camera. I’m tired of using my cell to take blog pics. I want a new cable for my camera, grrr!!! I guess I’m just pissed off at the world today.

Breakfast today was 1/2 of a blueberry muffin from Great Harvest. I went there on Saturday and it was a pretty cool little place. Although I don’t know if I will be going back- it took forever to get there, I got lost a billion times, and then I had to pay $10 for parking when all I bought was bread and some muffins. Sheesh. It is delicious though!

About 10 I was starving! So I had to eat my afternoon snack in the morning. ( I guess the 1/2 muffin wasn’t nearly as filling as the oatmeal I usually eat for breakfast)

For lunch today…

a wheatberry salad I whipped up this morning(wheat berries, cuc, carrots, feta, 2 T lowfat greek vinaigrette)
1 cup strawberries

And when I got home it was snack time!

1 slice of Great Harvest Tuscan tomato and herb bread, toasted
a little boursin cheese (did I spell that right?)
POM spritzer

Oh and then I might have a spoonful of PB with a banana.  Emotional eating is BAD Sarah- cut that out!

Thursday!

Sooooo… when I got to school today my classroom was TRASHED! I was like whaaaaa?? I seriously can’t believe the sub left it liked that. Just walked out at the end of the day with trash all over the floor, crayons and pencils all over the floor and pencil shavings from the pencil sharpener had been dumped into a storage box that I had by my desk. Seriously who does that?! Boo!

(and I again apologize for the quality of my pics.  Still coming from the cell phone because the pup chewed up the chord!)

So anyway, breakfast was:

A whole wheat english muffin with whipped cream cheese
Chobani with a little optimum slim and flax mixed in (I only ate half, it tasted weird)
coffee

Lunch today was:

1/2 cup grapes + 1/2 cup strawberries

my after school snack consisted of one of my favorite bars!  Luna chocolate pepermint stick- yum!

Then I went to work out!  On the way home from the gym I had a banana (sorry no pics while driving.  have to at least try to be safe, lol)

When I got home I made a Soba Noodle Salad (recipe coming very soon!)  It was sooooo soooo good!!  I think next time I’m going to try it cold and without the beef.  I need to try this soon because I already seem to be daydreaming about it and my tummy just growled thinking about it, lol!!

I also had a sparkling water to go with.  Tasty dinner!

The time to hit the hay draws near and I might need a bedtime snack because my tummy is seriously growling loudly now.  I’ll probably just grab a yogurt since I didn’t really get my fix this morning. Sorry I didn’t have anything terribly interesting to say. I’m going to try to get a bunch of recipes posted this weekend!!

Wacky Wednesday!

today’s post is going to be short and sweet since I waited till so late to do it. I don’t know why I have waited so long, but it is what it is! So I took a mental health day today and did some great relaxing!!

I woke up around 7:30ish and had some breakfast.

Some oatmeal with:
1 T cinnamon raisin peanut butter
1 T pumpkin
1T coconut
1 T walnuts

it was yumm and it fueled me for my run! I headed over to Trinity Park for a 20 minute run. After that I had a glorious massage at Massage Envy- I love coupons!

Then I went over to central market and got a big salad. I just chilled with my book and my ipod for a couple of hours and enjoyed the AMAZING sunshine!!!

salad with tons of veggies and blue cheese
light greek vinaigrette dressing
sourdough roll
a guarana Antarctica diet

I also may or may not have had a chocolate gelato. No picture- it was melty out in the sun so I ate it really fast(if indeed I am admitting to eating it, which I’m not). It was amazing!

Then I grabbed a few things for sunday lunch while I was there including some pretty tulips!
