officially the weekend!

yipee!! 27 more days till I get to leave my job!

Today I forgot my lunch. I was sad. But I will say that I am lucky that I carry an “emergency” bar in my purse! (I get like 15 mins for lunch, so no time to go anywhere and they serve some serious crap in the cafeteria. I’d rather starve than eat that!)

So, lunch was a chocolate peppermint stick Luna Bar.

When I left work I was so hungry that I literally felt sick to my stomach! So before I even left town I had to stop at subway and grab a quick sandwich. Turkey on wheat, all veggies, spicy mustard. No pic because I downed that sucker within two minutes of getting in the car! Then when I got home I had a chobani.

while I was working on dinner I snacked on some flatbread crisps with some Boursin cheese.

Dinner was leftover shredded BBQ chicken sandwiches, corn on the cob, and a salad with some light 1000 island.

Well, I gotta hit the hay early. I have to get up super early because I’m doing the zoo run tomorrow morning. I hope it doesn’t rain, I’m not hardcore enough to do a 5K in the rain, LOL.

It’s Friday- Hallelujah!! Can’t wait for the weekend to start!

I got up early enough to post about breakfast this morning, yay.

I had a lovely bowl of oatmeal this morning.

In the mix…
1/4 cup oats, 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 banana
toppings…
a handful of blackberries
sprinkle of coconut
sprinkle of wheat berries
sprinkle of walnuts
spoonful of choco chip PB

trail running is tough!

For reals!! Gosh, I could barely go two miles. Hubby and I went to trinity trails and ran the looped trail. There were parts of the trail that were just plain dirt and rocks. It was a tough run, but I feel soooo good!! Right after this I’m going to go foam roll- can’t wait!

Today for breakfast I some optimum slim with a little skim milk and a banana. Also, a piece of GH honey wheat bread with a little cinn raisin PB(I only ate about half of that). Oh and don’t forget the coffee!!

Then it was off to work I went! The kids were nutso again today. I have the sneaking suspision that it’s only going to go downhill until the last day of school. *sigh*

Then after school I talked the hubby into going running with me. The first time that he has even though I ask him all the time! Before that I had half a sammy on WW bread with roasted chicken, lettuce, cuc, and kerrygold cheese-1/2 oz. Sorry, I really thought that I had taken a picture!!

Then after our run we went to Panera since we were right over there by it and I got a Fuji Chicken salad. It was really really good! We just chilled and chatted. We haven’t gotten to do that in a long time- it was great!

That brings us up to date. As soon as I say goodbye I’m gonna hit the foam roller, read a little Twilight, then hit the sack!

Oh, I almost forgot! I know I don’t get much traffic, if any at all. For all I know I’m the only one who reads this, lol. Anyhoo…

Erin over at I walk in this world is holding a kickarse auction to raise money for cancer research. Everyone should check it out. I mean, is there anyone whose life hasn’t been affected by cancer in some way? I haven’t yet decided if I’m going to donate something or maybe just buy something. I’m not feeling super creative right now, so who knows!

This is starting to get long so I think I’m going to say adios for the evening. I will soon be posting a career update. I just need to do a little more praying before I say what I’m going onto next in my life.

Dinner time!

So I ended up running three miles tonight, but I didn’t end up doing any ab stuff. I’m pretty good with the three miles though!!

After the run I grabbed the blender and made a little smoothie with my protein powder. It coulda used a little fruit. I’ll remember that next time. We for real need a new blender, this one doesn’t do ANYthing with the ice any more!
Can anyone recommend one??

Here is the protein powder I use. BSM Lean Dessert. It’s tasty.

In my “smoothie”…
1 scoop protein powder
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
lots o ice

for dinner I threw together a little pasta dish. I did whole wheat penne, 1/2 cup organic pasta sauce, 1/2 ounce each of asiago and mozzarella. Then put it under the broiler in my cute lil fiesta casserole dishes and there ya go! Then I toasted up some of my GH Tuscan Tomato and Herb bread that I got last weekend, threw a salad on the table and there was dinner!

Now I kinda want something sweet but I don’t know what I want…

Well….

I figured out a way to get my pics from my camera to my computer!! But I had to use my blackberry cable to do it. I’m not sure that that’s really good for my camera, but it’ll due for now until I can either get a real cable for my camera dock thing or I get a new camera (that might not come until my birthday though).

I just got home from work and I thought I would do some updating before I work out! School was school. Same ish, different day. I’m very ready to be out of there! 31 days!!!!!!

Today for lunch I made an Amy’s Texas Burger (LOVE these!!!!). I put it on a good ole Mrs. Baird’s sesame bun. Even though they aren’t whole wheat they are still a classic around these parts, especially since the Mrs. Baird’s bakery is just a few miles up the road.

Then it was off to school. I showed the kids a video on American Folk Music. I will be doing this quite a bit between now and the end of the year. I can quite honestly say that I don’t really care any more. I hardly even get to see all of them anyway- they pull them out of my class for everything. Right now it’s TAKS tutoring pullouts. Out of a class of 20 I might get to see about 7 or 8 of them. And there’s no telling which one’s I’ll get to see at any given time. It just depends on who they feel like pulling out that day. There’s no way that I can teach anything relevant. I would have to re-teach it about 30 times because of the pullouts. Meh. I can’t wait to get out of there. I’m so burnt out!

Anyway, I’m home now! I’m about to hop on the treadmill and do 2 miles and maybe some crunches on the exercise ball. Then I’m going to do some stretching and foam roll!!
